Dispatches from a Pandemic: Enough

Content Note: Death by gun violence, death by medical neglect, COVID-19

and he’s dead,
and sie’s dead,
and the list goes on,
and I wonder how we mourn,
if we mourn,
can we mourn?

everything feels empty and
everything feels full and
I just want the world to spin on and
leave me be.

to subsume my grief and
smile in the face of death but
today is not that day.

oh courtney,
oh mel,
I wish you were here.
